Part Four Thoughts and Aphorisms Sri Aurobindo wrote the main series of 540 aphorisms around 1913 in a single notebook under the headings “Jnana”, “Karma” and “Bhakti”. Seven additional aphorisms were not classified under these headings; the last five were written in a different notebook, probably somewhat later.
